Dr. Kilmartin received his undergraduate degree from Lafayette College. He then moved on to medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed both General Surgery residency and Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at Parkland/University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Kilmartin has an interest in all aspects of cardiac surgery and has been extensively trained in the latest techniques in coronary artery bypass grafting including extensive use of multi-arterial grafts, aortic valve replacement, ascending aortic management, transcatheter aortic valve replacement and lead management.
In his free time, Dr. Kilmartin has been a rugby player since his time at Lafayette College. He enjoys spending time with his family, international travel and the breadth of outdoor activities in Colorado.
