General Thoracic Surgery
Dr. Price is a board-certified, general thoracic surgeon. Her practice includes the treatment of both benign and malignant disorders of the lungs, esophagus, mediastinum, and chest wall, with a special focus on thoracic oncology and robotic procedures. She works hand in hand with the Penrose Cancer Center’s multidisciplinary team individualizing each patient’s care, to best meet the needs of the patient and their family. Dr. Price received her undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University and her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency, general thoracic surgery fellowship, as well as a second residency in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She has received many honors and awards, including the Mayo Brothers Distinguished Fellowship Award, the Jon A. van Heerden Meticulous Patient Care Award, the O.T. Clagett Travel Fellowship Award, and the Mayo International Health Program Scholarship Award. She is currently a candidate member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, and Women in Thoracic Surgery.
